The Virginia City Foundation
Preserving and Illuminating the Heritage of the Comstock
The Virginia City Foundation is chartered to assist the owners of Virginia City properties and those desiring to enliven the history of the West by advancing the cause of preservation of the heritage of the Comstock.
We provide technical, educational, monetary, and promotional assistance to those who are engaged in the preservation, restoration and operation of the historic assets of Virginia City, including buildings, mines, transportation assets and experiences.

We consult with not-for-profit educational, historical, and charitable organizations, governmental units and private enterprise to acquire the necessary resources to achieve the objective of recreating the vibrancy and diversity of Virginia City and the Comstock in the glory days of the late 1800’s.
